About Me
Some call me a consultant, some a business coach, but I like to call myself a lifelong student of leadership and organizational behavior. I’ve had the privilege of working with great leaders and helping them pull out of the day-to-day operations and get back to doing what they do best - building a healthy and effective organization. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than working with leaders who are ready to move their businesses beyond success to sustainable and life-giving.

As a consultant and coach, I’ll have the privilege to hear your dreams, desires, fears and frustrations. It only seems fair you learn a little more about me.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast as a teenager. I spent the remainder of my childhood, college years and first couple years of marriage in Mississippi. Over the past 20 years, I’ve also lived in Arkansas, Arizona and I currently reside in Illinois.

I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Mississippi Christian University. I also have a Master’s of Science in Management from Belhaven University. After seven years of career changes and trying to figure out what I loved and could give my life to, I finally hit my stride. Like many, I have found that my greatest education comes from the failures and successes throughout my career. Although my undergraduate grade point average was embarrassing, I also graduated top of my class in graduate school. I truly believe the greatest teachers are the greatest students and I am living proof of the power of persistence and perseverance.

I married my best friend, Beth, in 2003. She’s the best wife a guy could have and apart from God, she’s been and continues to be the single most important contributor to my success. She’s also an amazing mom. If she wasn’t driven by her conviction to educate and raise our four children, she would be hands down, a hundred times more successful in the workplace than I could ever be. Our four children are incredible. They range from five years old to 16 years old and I love every second of raising them (well, almost every second).

I started playing drums in middle school and ultimately received a full music scholarship my first two years of college. Although I pursued a business degree, I continue playing drums to this day. I also play a little guitar.

While playing drums at a church service in 2009, I had an out of body experience where I believe God called me to use my gifts and leadership acumen to serve the church. One year later, I quit my corporate job and started working full-time in the church. Throughout the years, I’ve also had opportunities to continue working with executives and business leaders outside the church. Getting to serve leaders in both worlds (church and marketplace) is unique and gives me incredible perspective on life and leadership.

If you noticed, my logo for Gagliano Consulting is a G and backward C to form a clock. This logo has a deep meaning that drives everything I do. The clock represents time. Ephesians 5:15-16 says, “Look carefully how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the TIME.” I believe how we spend our time is the most important aspect of our lives. We can make more money, more friends and accumulate more possessions, but we can’t make more time. I believe the only regrets people have at the end of their lives is wasted time. When it comes to leading an organization, the same holds true. The way we spend our time will determine not only the level of our success, but the level of our enjoyment and fulfillment in that success.
